Freshmen entrance announcement for the year of 2001 are all finished. Freshmen participated in their orientation of each faculty or department. Unlike last year, all freshmen participated in the orientation of the UOS from Feb. 26th to Feb. 28th. There were some problems.

The orientation for the freshmen was originally planned from Feb. 23th to Feb. 25th, but the lack of consensus between the GSC and the university center led to delays. Imperfect preparation for the orientation also created some problems in the decision of proper date. The entrance ceremony was held in the Main Auditorium on March 2nd, at11 a.m.

The ceremony of conferment of a degree was held in the conference room of the Natural Science Building on Feb. 22th, at 2 p.m. The ceremony was conducted with solemnity. The number of people granted a bachelor’s degree was 1402, the number of master’s degree was 244, and that of doctoral degree was 14. All photos by Lee Jae-hun
