On January 13, the UOS held an essay test in its entrance exam. Included were arguments supporting the position, "People who are in absolute poverty should be helped even when they are people in other countries.", and other arguments refuting this position.

The test demanded students examine the bases of the arguments and show their opinion on these two points of view. The testing committee imposed five standards - the question is familiar to students, the intention of the question is clear, the test consists of a few questions.

The committee values the process of logic development and sets questions to encourage reading of the classics.
