Main Auditorium and International Conference Hall Renovated
The Main Auditorium, the International Conference Hall and the Main Lecture Room were all renovated during last winter vacation. The UOS polled student opinions on the renovation. The Main Auditorium had its floor, as well as air-conditioning and heating equipment upgraded. The International Conference Hall was renovated to be a more efficient place to hold international conventions, while the old main lecture room also restored its facilities. Park Seong-woo (Foundation of Industry-Academic Cooperation) said, "The Main Auditorium and the International Con-ference Hall are often places used in fostering external relationships, so those places really present the face of the UOS. We will continue to create and improve facilities."
A Special Lecture on the Arts
On D-ecember 4 2007, a special lecture of arts was held in the Liberal Arts Buildi-ng. The lecturer was Je-on Yong-bok who is a very famous artist in lacquerwork. As we-ll as this, he is the author of 『I am Chosun Artist of Lacquering』. The name of the lecture was `21 Century Vision of National Culture` and there were so many students who wanted to know more about national culture. From this lecturer, a lot of students could broaden their field of vision.
