This co-nference was focused on im-proving two nations’ energy cooperation. Korea’s energy importing is increasing annually. On the other hand, Korea’s trade balance is decreasing. In this situation, Korea is vulnerable to unstable energy prices. So this conference discussed the problem of Korea’s energy situation and how to improve the high energy prices.
The Director, Lim Sung-hack, the professor of the UOS, said “The goal of this conference is to assess the strategy and market prospects for expanded energy cooperation between South Korea and Canada.”
About 20 important guests attended the conference, the Canadian Embassy Agents, KEEI (Korea Energy Economic Institute) Agents, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Institute Agents, Professors of the Korea Univ., and the Ajou Univ., and so on. Students majoring in the International Relations served as staff members on the conference and they got the opportunity to experience on the international congress.
